• To achieve the sales targets as per company’s sales objectives
• To develop new customers by identifying new business opportunities & prospects
• To develop new markets / territories as per company’s targets
• To interact & revive old customers not doing business with the company for any reason
• To develop mechanism for extending credit period & discounts to various customers
• To develop the sales team and help them achieve their respective sales targets
• To collect the payments from various customers as per the agreed payment time
• To identify the late paying customers and devise appropriate strategies for payment collection
• To identify on time paying customers & devise appropriate strategies for sustaining timely payment
• To co-ordinate with marketing det for getting sales leads via seminars, promotion schemes etc
• To maintain professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops & establishing personal networks
• To prepare sales MIS report & to present it to the management for periodic review and necessary action
• Co-ordinate with R&D department for new products & designs to be shown to customers regularly for enhancing sales
• To study the competitors& various market activities for keeping abreast with market trends
• To attend trade exhibitions, conferences & seminars to develop new contacts
• To review the sales performance periodically
• To conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
• To seek new business opportunities through cold calling
• To ensure availability of stocks by coordinating with the production department regularly
• To meet customers regularly to seek what exactly do they require
• To handle the customers complaints, objections on quality & delivery
• To collaborate with the team members to achieve better sales results
• To gather relevant feedback from the customers/prospects & share with the internal team members for action & decision
